  • 3. We establish environmental policies, objectives and targets, promote continuous improvement for achievement, and strive to raise employee awareness.
  • 4.As a declaration of our environmental endeavors, we will make this environmental policy available to the general public as well.

Acquisition Status of ISO 14001 Certification

In 2008, we updated to ISO 14001. The entire company including the management and employees keeps striving to maintain and improve our environmental management system.

・In regards to the required items, we adhere to the applicable items without fail and conduct measurements and inspections.

Promotion of Environmental Activities in Cooperation with Business Partners

Develop "YMD Environmental CSR" guidelines with YMD vendors and, working together with vendors, promote voluntary activities.
Furthermore, when possible recommend that vendors obtain environmental management system certification and while accelerating the formation of an eco-friendly workplace and human development, we will try to receive the trust from our customers.

Striving for No Abnormalities and No Complaints
・Setting up a network where executives and employees can receive all kinds of information on a daily basis and put a system of action in place for when an abnormality or complaint is received immediate action can be taken.
* Participation in near miss abnormality study sessions, risk potential extraction and regular environmental education seminars.

Specific Efforts

We have developed 5 Environmental Committees, "Energy saving promotion subcommittee" "Social contribution promotion subcommittee" "Traffic safety promotion subcommittee" "Miyoshi factory safety and health promotion subcommittee" "Miyoshi factory environmental promotion subcommittee"where the problems from each field are examined and tackled by the company.

Bell mark and used stamp movement

  • ・Contributing to society by donating bell marks and used stamps collected in-house to NGO groups and foundations.
  • ・In FY2019, 1243 Bellmarks were donated to Bellmark Educational Foundation.

Beautification around the building

  • ・We will carry out cleaning activities around the building such as picking up trash and weeding.

Traffic safety promotion

Reducing Waste and Recycling

  • ・Thorough management of air conditioning in the company building and prevention of forgetting to turn off the power.
  • ・Introduction of power saving equipment.

Reducing the Usage of Office Automation Paper

  • ・Advancing digitization of materials to minimize the use of paper.
  • ・Use both sides (front and back) of paper for in-house paperwork.
  • ・Each ledger report will be computerized (Reducing paper ledger reports)
Each of our employees will work on environmental issues in line with this basic principle and basic policy while aiming for our own development as well. We will promote environmental management so that we can be approved by our partners and society.
